Through this pandemic, through this media waging a war of conflicting news and information on our tv screens we can’t seem to look away from, it’s important to look away.

Look down. Look up. Look outside.

Look at the flowers growing on your balcony.

Look at the honey bees pollinating from it.

Watch the snow fall softly on the windowsill.

Watch the birds flit back and forth to their nests, or come back from their long migration to settle back in your garden. 

The birds in our backyards are still singing, still soaring, still hopping from branch to branch.
